This is the first umbrella I've ever done. Surprisingly hard, these strings really don't like to stay in round shapes!
 
guitARTwork is my fun way of recycling guitar strings. I use the strings to make music, then I use them to make artwork. On this piece, the retired strings were bent and shaped into a picture, placed on cedar wood, and set in tabletop epoxy. For this piece, I used acrylic paint to do the black-to-white fade.
